Ingredients:
Red Pepper - 1.
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp.
Urad dal - 1 tbsp.
Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp.
Red Chillies - 3.
Garlic - 2 cloves.
Ginger - a small piece.
Big Onion - 1.
Salt - as required.
Tamarind - a small piece.
For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 tbsp.
Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp.
Curry Leaves - 5 to 6 leaves.
Method:
1. In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, urad dal, coriander
seeds and Red Chillies.
2. Then add ginger, garlic, onion and saute onions until
slightly browned.
3. After that add red pepper and salt and saute for 5-6
mins.
4. Let it cool and grind it to a fine paste with little
water. While grinding add tamarind (No need to saute tamarind).
5. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, Urad dal and curry
leaves and transfer this to chutney.
Notes:
If u wish, while grinding you can add curry leaves.
If u don’t like cumin seeds, you can skip it.This is little bit spicy version, you can reduce red chillies as per your taste.
